During its 42nd Session held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, over 6-8 October 2015, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the world body for assessing the science related to climate change, has elected its new bureau.

Among its members, P.R Shukla, the leader of the Indian DDPP Country Research Team, has been elected as co-Chair of the Working Group III. In this position, he will be in charge of coordinating the analysis of the mitigation of climate change for the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report, expected to be completed in 5-7 years.
